The following shortcut keys are available in Mediasite Classic Player layouts: General, On-Demand Playback

General shortcut keys

The general shortcut keys are available for live and on-demand presentations.

On-demand playback shortcut keys

Playback shortcut keys work only when you are viewing on-demand presentations.

Shortcut Keys

Command

Space bar

Play or pause the presentation.

Left Arrow (←)

Skip back 3 seconds in the presentation.

Right Arrow (→)

Fast forward 10 seconds in the presentation.

Ctrl+Alt+Left Arrow
(Ctrl+Alt+ ←)

Go to the previous slide.

Ctrl+Alt+Right Arrow
(Ctrl+Alt+ →)

Go to the next slide.

Up Arrow (↑)

Increase the playback speed.

Down Arrow (↓)

Decrease the playback speed.

Jump Back. This will jump the presentation backward by 1% of the presentation length or 10 seconds, whichever is larger.

Jump Forward. This will jump the presentation forward by 1% of the presentation length or 10 seconds, whichever is larger.

Shift+[

Jump Back More. This will jump the presentation backward by 10% of the presentation length.

Shift+]

Jump Forward More. This will jump the presentation forward by 10% of the presentation length.

Ctrl+[

Jump Back 30 Seconds.

Ctrl+]

Jump Forward 30 Seconds.

Shift+↑

Increase volume.

Shift+↓

Decrease volume, mute audio.

NOTES:

  • If a feature is not available in a presentation, the shortcut for it will not work in the player.
  • The fast forward, jump forward, and jump backward shortcuts are not available as buttons in the player.
  • When you use the jump forward and jump backward shortcuts, you will skip within the presentation a pre-determined amount-for example, Ctrl+] skips you 30 seconds forward in a presentation. If a chapter point appears before the pre-determined time, using the shortcut will take you to the chapter point instead. So if you use Ctrl+] and there is a chapter point before the 30 second interval, the shortcut will stop there. If you use Ctrl+] again, the shortcut will take you 30 seconds forward from the chapter point.
